How to keep score
- Write the names at the top.
- When someone goes out, the others count the cards in their hand. Each player’s total goes under “In hand”.
- Under “SP” go the score points from the tables below.
- At the end: all of a player’s SP times 10, minus everything they held. That’s their result.

Scoring from the rummy rules of the German Skat Association (2012 edition), in short. The rules leave out exactly 11 points; we count them in the step up to 30.
At home, many people only count the cards: losers get them as minus, the winner gets 0. You can set that as a house rule in the score pad.
Questions and answers
How much is a joker worth?
20 points if it’s still in your hand at the end.
How do you work out the result?
All score points times 10, minus everything you held. 7 SP and 25 in hand: 70 − 25 = 45. You can end up below zero.
What is hand rummy?
You lay down all your cards at once, without having melded before. That earns 8, 10 or 12 score points instead of 5.
What happens when the stock runs out?
Then there’s no winner. Everyone counts their cards and gets score points from the table.
How many players fit on the sheet?
2 to 6, with two columns each. The association rules name 3 and 4, but at home you can play with two or six.
